WOW!  I got to meet with Rene and see renderings of the new Westin hotel.  Set to open in March of 2010 I’m already booking room blocks for upcoming Mitzvah weekends.  The great rate is $109/night. And, phase II of the Domain will be open too.  Plans include lots for your guests to do while in town visiting you!

OK, so, just a little prejudiced–when I went in for the site inspection on one of the sample tables, was the Shalom Austin.  And, as many of you know, I’m slightly partial to the cover boy!  (It’s a mitzvah I planned and the photo is by the great Ken Nordhauser).

ALCEP stands for the Association of Life Cycle Event Planners.  ALCEP came to be in existence to help ensure event planners and vendors are educated on the unique aspects of a Jewish Life Cycle event.

Did you know the word Bar/Bat Mitzvah is already plural!  It means “Son or daughter of the Commandments?”  To refer to handling more than one Bar/Bat Mitzvah party (or a portfolio) the correct wording is B’nai Mitzvah.

Do you know the right formation for the wedding party at a Jewish wedding?

It’s important for your event planner to know the correct verbiage, cultural aspects, and other important unique details to help you plan your event.
